About Us
Dr. Marty Matz, DDS
Dr. Matz knew he wanted to be a dentist by the time he was four years old. And that did not go unnoticed by his dentist.
Dr. Matz’s childhood dentist encouraged his curiosity about the profession on his first visit and could see that perhaps he would one day be a dentist too. Looking back, Dr. Matz realized that what made the biggest impacts on him as a patient were his dentist’s excellent technical skills, and how educated, caring, and friendly he was. That dentist became Dr. Matz’s professional role model. When Dr. Matz grew up, he received his degree from Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska, his hometown. Today, Dr. Matz has a dental practice located in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Matz practices general dentistry and enjoys all aspects of the profession. He focuses on the entire mouth and all its conditions as it relates to the body as a whole. He is passionate about working with entire families from grandchildren to grandparents. Dr. Matz believes each patient is an individual with unique physical and emotional needs. He has a special place in his heart for fearful patients and prides himself on putting them at ease.
Dr. Matz’s professional affiliations keep him on top of current trends and skills. He is active in local, state, and national dental societies. Dr. Matz is a member of:

Dr. Matz attends regular seminars in a well-respected study club, and he always exceeds the required number of hours of continuing education.
Dr. Matz’s hobbies allow him to indulge in his creative side. He enjoys playing and singing music, creating artwork, dental photography, gardening, and being involved in his church. During the winter months, he visits schools to teach children about dentistry using magic, puppets, and music.
Just as he strives to be a good provider for his dental family of patients, Dr. Matz also strives to be a great family man for his wife and three children.
Dr. Dan Ellingson, DDS
Dr. Ellingson grew up in the Omaha area. He knew he had an interest in healthcare from an early age, but it wasn’t until high school when he helped at his childhood dentist’s office that he realized dentistry was right for him. After graduating from Gross, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha before receiving his dental degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. He is a member of the following organizations:

Dr. Ellingson takes patient care very seriously. He is a firm believer that all people deserve to receive comprehensive dental care to achieve superior oral health. Always eager to add more expertise to better serve his patients, he has received additional training in full mouth rehabilitation, implant dentistry, and emergency endodontics.
Dr. Ellingson enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Leslie, our orthodontist at The Tooth Doc, and two children. He also enjoys reading and going to the gym.

Meet the Team
Rosie
CEO & Co-owner
Rosie studied gerontology at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Ever since then, she has regularly added to her expertise via continuing education courses.
She and Dr. Matz have two sons and a daughter as well as two grandkids. In her spare time, she is a Bible study leader and member of Catholic Daughters of America. She also loves spending time with her grandchildren, cooking (especially Sunday dinner for her family), traveling, and singing in the church choir alongside her husband.
Kenda
Kenda joined The Tooth Doc team in the spring of 2021. Kenda graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and earned an associate’s degree in music business during her time in Nashville, TN. Kenda has always been in administration in various industries.
Outside of The Tooth Doc she enjoys doing anything that involves her family, which includes her significant other Anthony; their three children, Emersyn, Liam, and Selina; and their two dogs, Peighton and Kynleigh.
Angela
Angela has lived in Nebraska most of her life and is married to her high school sweetheart, Marty. Together they have two grown boys and a spoiled dachshund named Emma.
Angela has worked in admin for the veterinary field for 13 years. She has enjoyed the change into dentistry and learning ways to help people with their dental needs.
Kim
Front Desk
Kim was born and raised in Omaha, NE graduating from Elkhorn High School.After spending 10 years in the financial field she wanted a change in career. She is now enjoying learning the dental field.
In her free time, Kim loves to be outdoors, bowl, bake and spend time with her son, Elias.
Kristin
Front Desk
Kristin grew up in a small town in Iowa and now resides in Papillion, NE. Kristin was a bartender for 16 years and is now enjoying learning dentistry while still helping people.
In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her family, going on motorcycle rides and being outdoors. Kristin's favorite thing to do is spend time with her significant other, Nick and their two children; Sophia and NJ.
Lisa
Lead Hygienist
One of the longest-tenured team members at The Tooth Doc, Lisa attended Wayne State College and Johnson County Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree in dental hygiene. She also keeps her skills current through continuing education. Her additional certifications and training include local anesthesia and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys camping, going to the movies, reading, and attending Broadway musicals. She and her husband, Jason, have two sons: Skyler and Jordan.
Lindsey
Hygienist
Lindsey earned her bachelors’ in dental hygiene from Wichita State University. Additional certifications and training include CPR, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide sedation. Around the office, she’s a cheerful presence who tries to always stay positive.
When she’s not at work, Lindsey likes seeing movies, gardening, traveling home to her native Kansas, and following the Kansas City Chiefs. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Tye and they have two daughters, Millie and Maggie.
Rhonda
Hygienist
Rhonda was born and raised in California and graduated from a dental assisting program in 1981. She continued her education and graduated from Pasadena City College with her dental hygiene degree in 1988. Moving to Nebraska in 1990 led Rhonda to meet and work alongside Dr. Matz in Omaha. She has additional training, and certifications in California and Nebraska include CPR, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide sedation. Rhonda also enjoys taking continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest technology and treatment for our patients.
Lexi
Hygienist
Lexi earned her first bachelors degree in neuroscience from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She earned her second bachelors in Dental Hygiene from UNMC College of Dentistry. She stays informed of the ever-changing field of dentistry with continuing education. She is certified in nitrous oxide sedation and local anesthesia administration, as well as basic life support and CPR.
Sam
Dental Assistant
Sam is an Omaha local, graduating from Millard West High School and Metropolitan Community College’s dental assisting program. She has been a dental assistant at The Tooth Doc since 2015. Sam enjoys attending educational seminars and is CPR certified.
Sam is married to her high school sweetheart, Dylan. Together they have a son, Waylon. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles with her husband, finding new recipes on Pinterest, and rooting on the Husker football team.
Laura
Dental Assistant
Laura was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Bryan High in 2008 and graduated from Kaplan University in 2009 with a dental assisting degree. Laura is CPR certified.
She loves spending time with her son Jordan and daughter Zoey. Laura enjoys going to the zoo and spending time outside camping. Also, in her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies and going to the lake in the summer.
Lisa S
Dental Assistant
Lisa was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She graduated from Vatterott for dental assisting in 2005. She has been working with children for the last 5 years and has decided to come back to general dentistry to work with patients of all ages. She is CPR certified.
Her passion is volunteering her time with the underserved communities. She loves spending time with her family, ride horses and do just about anything outdoors.
