And that did not go unnoticed by his dentist.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Matz&#8217;s childhood dentist encouraged his curiosity about the profession on his first visit and could see that perhaps he would one day be a dentist too. Looking back, Dr. Matz realized that what made the biggest impacts on him as a patient were his dentist&#8217;s excellent technical skills, and how educated, caring, and friendly he was. That dentist became Dr. Matz&#8217;s professional role model. When Dr. Matz grew up, he received his degree from Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska, his hometown. Today, Dr. Matz has a dental practice located in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Matz practices general dentistry and enjoys all aspects of the profession. He focuses on the entire mouth and all its conditions as it relates to the body as a whole. He is passionate about working with entire families from grandchildren to grandparents. Dr. Matz believes each patient is an individual with unique physical and emotional needs. He has a special place in his heart for fearful patients and prides himself on putting them at ease.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Matz&#8217;s professional affiliations keep him on top of current trends and skills. He is active in local, state, and national dental societies. He enjoys playing and singing music, creating artwork, dental photography, gardening, and being involved in his church. She had an accident where she broke a tooth and ended up needing a root canal at such a young age. Seeing how much her hometown dentist truly cared about her feelings and overall care, really set the tone for how she wanted to treat others in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Wittorf never stopped striving to grow up to become a dentist just like the one she had when she was younger. She got her Bachelor&#8217;s degree from Simpson College in Indianola, IA where she was lucky enough to travel abroad a couple of times. She then continued her education at Creighton University School of Dentistry where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.<\/p>\nDr. Wittorf is a general dentist who practices dentistry with an overall health approach. She believes the systemic link between the mouth and the whole body is a connection that should never be ignored. Dr. Wittorf performs almost all dental procedures<br \/>\nwith a gentle and caring touch. She recognizes the stigma of being fearful of the dentist and strives to make every patient feel comfortable and less anxious when coming into the office.\n<p>Dr. Wittorf likes to stay up to date on the standard of care when it comes to dentistry by staying involved in many organizations. She is a member of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>American Dental Association<\/li>\n<li>Nebraska Dental Association<\/li>\n<li>Omaha District Dental Society<\/li>\n<li>The Pankey Institute<\/li>\n<li>Various Study Clubs in the area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When Dr. Wittorf is not at the office, she enjoys spending her free time with her boyfriend and golden retriever. Kenda graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in marketing and earned an associate&#8217;s degree in music business during her time in Nashville, TN. Kristin was a bartender for 16 years and is now enjoying learning dentistry while still helping people.<\/p>\n<p>In her spare time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her family, going on motorcycle rides and being outdoors. She has always has a<br \/>job in customer service helping people and is now enjoying learning dentistry while still helping<br \/>people.<\/p>\n<p>Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her son, Owen, her significant other Ben and<br \/>dog, Kash. Her favorite teams are the Royals, the Huskers and the Chiefs. She enjoys being<br \/>outside either fishing, boating or relaxing near a lake. She also keeps her skills current through continuing education. Her additional certifications and training include local anesthesia and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).<\/p>\n<p>In her spare time, Lisa enjoys camping, going to the movies, reading, and attending Broadway musicals. Additional certifications and training include CPR, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide sedation. Around the office, she&#8217;s a cheerful presence who tries to always stay positive.<\/p>\n<p>When she&#8217;s not at work, Lindsey likes seeing movies, gardening, traveling home to her native Kansas, and following the Kansas City Chiefs. She continued her education and graduated from Pasadena City College with her dental hygiene degree in 1988. Moving to Nebraska in 1990 led Rhonda to meet and work alongside Dr. Matz in Omaha. She has additional training, and certifications in California and Nebraska include CPR, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide sedation. She has been a dental assistant at The Tooth Doc since 2015. Sam enjoys attending educational seminars and is CPR certified.<\/p>\n<p>Sam is married to her high school sweetheart, Dylan. Together they have a son, Waylon. She graduated from Vatterott for dental assisting in 2005. She has been working with children for the last 5 years and has decided to come back to general dentistry to work with patients of all ages. She is CPR certified.<\/p>\n<p>Her passion is volunteering her time with the underserved communities. Rachel has<br \/>been in general dentistry for the last 5 years but has also assisted in oral surgery and loves<br \/>working in the lab.
